Brynn Byrne

Co-Host, Producer & Story Editor

Brynn is a Toronto based Screenwriter who writes character driven film and television that explore the complex, emotional and often silly aspects of the human condition. Brynn’s childhood boredom in rural Essex County, Ontario led to an overactive imagination and an unhealthy addiction to movies and television. Brynn’s unique voice and storytelling earned her the John Frizzell award for achievement in screenwriting, and a Netflix Diversity of Voices fellowship at the 2019 Banff World Media Festival. Recent projects include wriHng the short film Unlicensed, and a Canadian Heritage Minute about Oscar Peterson.

Aaron Yeger

Co-Host, Producer, Recording Engineer & Editor

Aaron is driven by an intense curiosity and commitment to exploring new ideas, which has garnered critical praise including a nomination for Producer of the Year by the Producers Guild of America in 2013 for the documentary A People Uncounted. He co-wrote and produced the critically acclaimed Sleeping Giant, which was nominated for the 2016 Canadian Screen Award for Best Feature Film, and played in TIFF Canada’s Top Ten following a premiere at the 2015 Cannes Film FesHval. Aaron directed the short film Unlicensed, selected for CBC’s Canadian Reflections program in 2020 and released on CBC Gem. Most recently Aaron directed a Canadian Heritage Minute about legendary jazz icon Oscar Peterson for Historica Canada.

Andrew "Barry" Helmer

Co-Host & Producer

Although his actual name is Andrew, his friends and co-hosts call him Barry. Andrew Helmer is a freelance writer currently living and working in Toronto, Ontario. A devotee to all things horror and sci-fi, he has written short fiction, screenplays and comics. He enjoys sunsets and long walks in the general direction of a pub.
